Frequently asked questions

Cutera XEO has multiple treatment configuration possibilities, more than any multi-application platform on the market. Laser hair removal is safe for all skin types, even for tanned skin. The Cutera XEO handpiece emits wavelengths that are specifically designed for hair pigment (melanin) absorption. Surrounding skin is unaffected as the entire energy of the laser pinpoints to the hair follicle and hair shaft, destroying hair deep down without damaging skin. Darker skin types can be at a higher risk of side effects if treated with an IPL or the wrong type of laser, that is why at SKN med spa we have the gold standard of lasers the Nd:YAG Laser hair removal is a permanent hair reduction, 70%-90% of the hairs will be permanently gone but there will always be some hair growth, it will be slower and more easily managed. A touch up or maintenance treatment will be required once every year depending on the hair growth. A minimum of 6 treatments is recommended. *Must be 18+ to receive this treatment
